Hadith: Radiance from Wudu on the Day of Resurrection
Translation:
Narrated Nu`am Al-Mujmir:
Once I went up the roof of the mosque, along with Abu Huraira. He perform ablution and said, “I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, ‘On the Day of Resurrection, my followers will be called Al-Ghurr-ul-Muhajjalun (brightened and radiant) from the traces of ablution, and whoever can increase the area of his radiance should do so (by performing ablution regularly).'”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 136; Sahih Muslim, Hadith 246)
🌿 Reflection
This hadith highlights the special honor given to the believers who perform wudu (ablution). On the Day of Judgment, they will be recognized by their shining faces, hands, and feet, glowing with the traces of purity. The Prophet ﷺ encouraged us to preserve and perfect our ablution, as it not only purifies us for prayer in this life but also grants us light in the Hereafter.
🌿 Regular and mindful ablution is not just preparation for salah—it is an act of worship in itself and a source of spiritual beauty and reward.
