🤲 Tashahhud: The Sacred Conversation in Prayer
Every Muslim repeats the words of At-Tahiyyat in every salah — but have you ever reflected on their origin?
“All greetings, prayers, and goodness belong to Allah…”
🌙 Origin in the Night Journey (Isra & Mi‘raj)
According to many scholars and narrations, the words of Tashahhud were first exchanged during the miraculous journey of Isra and Mi‘raj.

When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ascended to the heavens and met Allah ﷻ, this divine dialogue unfolded:
- Prophet ﷺ said: “At-tahiyyatu lillah…” (All greetings are for Allah…)
- Allah replied: “As-salamu ‘alayka ayyuhan-Nabiyyu…” (Peace be upon you, O Prophet…)
- Prophet responded: “As-salamu ‘alayna wa ‘ala ‘ibadillahis-saliheen…” (Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants…)
Then the **angels testified**: Ashhadu alla ilaha illa Allah…
🕊️ What Makes Tashahhud So Powerful?
- It’s a **spiritual summary** of our faith
- It **connects the Prophet ﷺ, the believer, and Allah**
- It was born in a moment of **divine nearness**
🧎 Sunnah Reflection:
When you sit in tashahhud, don’t rush it. Reflect. This is a sacred exchange
Feel the honor. Whisper the words with presence. It’s more than a recitation — it’s a conversation through time.
