How this works
The Qibla is the direction Muslims face in prayer, toward the Kaaba in Makkah. This tool takes your coordinates and the Kaaba’s coordinates (21.4225° N, 39.8262° E) and calculates the great-circle bearing between them — the shortest path across the globe, not a straight line on a flat map. That bearing is shown on the dial in degrees from true north.
Using live compass mode
Tap “Enable live compass” on a phone or tablet. Your browser may ask for permission to use the motion sensor — allow it, then hold your device flat. The gold Kaaba marker moves as you turn; when it lines up with the small pointer at the top of the dial, you are facing the Qibla. If your device doesn’t support this, the dial still shows the correct bearing from north — pair it with any physical compass.
Tips for accuracy
- Move away from metal objects, magnets, and electronics — they throw off the compass sensor.
- Hold the device flat and level, and calibrate it by moving it in a figure-eight if the reading looks unsteady.
- Location accuracy depends on your device’s GPS; for the most precise result, use it outdoors or near a window.
